Per my last post, WordPress is offering me some AI generated suggestions for my website. Tournament results, player profiles, instructional material for all skill levels.
The trouble with these AI inspired suggestions is that they have nothing to do with how I actually “run my club,” which I will now explain.
Being 80, I no longer ride as I wish, i.e. a halter and lead rope, on a saddle blanket. I can jump on and spend the maximum time actually hitting, but I have too little control, Bonehead, aka Easy, aka JetEasyRider, tossed me a couple of times last year, and it just hurts too much.
So now the darlings graze, I ride out in my John Deere Gator, which I love, toss the ball out on the ground and stick-and-ball to my heart’s content. We’re all happy with the new set-up.
And before you poo pooh this new arrangement, consider that this is still the essence of polo, and I’m missing out on absolutely nothing as regards the sport I love, got a mallet, a ball, and am keepin’ ’em goin’. Also this. I’m focusing on revving up the ball, on both sides….bring the mallet into the ball, describe a small arc right at the ball, with a full stop in the swing, and you’re on your way to having game.
Next time, pictures!

Fantastic. As good as it gets.
